Duty
The main objective of the position is to synthesize organo-phosphorus based functional molecules. They find application as additives in bulk polymer/coatings and as monomers in synthesis of phosphorus containing polymers. This position offers the possibility to do nice fundamental research and develop an international scientific profile (scientific publications); while the results obtained can lead to industrial transfer in the future (patents, spin-off).
Requirement
What kind of candidate are we looking for?
- As a scientist with a PhD in organic or polymer chemistry, you have ambition to make a scientific discoveries with impact in the real world;
- You have experience in synthetic organic chemistry; experience in phosphorus chemistry, green synthetic chemistry, functional polymeric coatings and condensation polymerization;
- You enjoy writing good scientific publications;
- You like to develop your scientific independence and initiate your own project, while you are also happy to collaborate in a team and contribute to projects in progress;
- To be considered as a scientist, prior experience of 2-3 years as Post Doc is necessary.
This position will be available starting 1st October 2021, for a duration of 24 months. You work in an international interdisciplinary team with well-equipped synthesis laboratory and excellent analytical facilities.
