Microfabrication Specialist (w/m/d) 100 %
Duty
  • Design & fabricate advanced ultrasound transducers: large-aperture, flexible, low-voltage devices optimized for high acoustic performance.
  • Develop and microfabricate multi-element matrix arrays and integrate novel piezoelectric materials.
  • Translate microfabrication advances into surgical robotic applications — embedding flexible ultrasound sensors for intraoperative imaging, navigation, and feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with clinicians, roboticists, and materials scientists to ensure designs meet translational and surgical requirements.
Requirement
  • MSc or PhD (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Microsystems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
  • Hands-on expertise in microfabrication (lithography, deposition, etching, wafer bonding, etc.) and MEMS technologies.
  • (Bonus) Experience in microfluidic chip design
  • Interest or experience in medical robotics, surgical guidance, or intraoperative imaging systems.
  • A strong builder’s mindset: creative, hands-on, and ready to solve high-complexity/high-reward challenges.
