The RF & MW labat METAS is active in a wide range of projects related to RF & MW measurement technology, scanning probe microscopy, quantum sensing and data science, maintaining close contact with partners from metrology, industry and science.A collegial and highly motivated team with a wide range of skills is looking forward to working with you.
· Combining aspects of electrical high frequency measurements with nanometrology by setting up and operating Near-Field Scanning Microwave Microscopes in the framework of international R&D projects.
· Characterizing materials with precision at the nano and micrometer level.
· Collaborating with research institutes and industry partners.
· Contributing to project proposals, scientific reports and publications.
· A university degree in the natural sciences or in engineering with a PhD or equivalent professional experience.
· Knowledge of scanning probe microscopy and high-frequency measurement technology. Bonus skills in construction and design, clean room technologies, simulation, data analysis and software development.
· Willingness to dive into unfamiliar terrain and learn on the go.
· Excellent English skills. Proficiency in at least one Swiss national language is a plus.
