Duty
You develop innovative research projects, seek third-party funding and cooperate in international networks. You carry out the research projects independently and in collaboration with other scientific staff and supervise students. Furthermore, you publish your results in international journals and present them at international conferences. Contributions to outreach activities and teaching are welcome. For this tenure-track position we are looking for a long-term scientific employee.
Requirement
You have a PhD in biology or environmental, natural or soil sciences and you have a well-founded taxonomic, ecological and conceptual knowledge on all aspects of soil fauna, how it interacts with the soil system and how these interactions feedback to producers, aboveground living consumers and ultimately to ecosystem functioning and provisioning of services. Ideally, you are also competent in collecting and analyzing sequencing data. You are experienced in designing innovative field and laboratory experiments, in the statistical analysis of data as well as in publishing scientific articles. As a highly motivated and creative team player you enjoy working in an international and dynamic research team, but also independently. You speak and write English fluently and enjoy communicating your results to the scientific community and the broader public.
