Aufgaben
As an experienced scientist, you will contribute to shape WSL’s landscape research in the coming years and further strengthen its national and international visibility. You will develop new methods and concepts in the field of socio-ecological systems analysis/coupled human-nature systems and provide visible contributions to international landscape research, but also to national themes and research projects. Expertise in spatial analysis and modeling and experience in interdisciplinary collaboration with ecological and social science disciplines are relevant for this position as well as successful publication activities and acquisition of competitive external funding.
Anforderung
You have a PhD in ecology, environmental sciences, geography or equivalent and have several years of successful research experience in the field of interdisciplinary landscape research with a focus on land system analysis (senior level). We expect good knowledge of European landscape research, an international network, a strong interest in social and economic science approaches, and a willingness to collaborate with stakeholders. Experience in teaching and in supervising doctoral and master theses are prerequisites for a successful application. You have proven communication and organizational skills and enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams. You are fluent in English, knowledge of German and/or another national language is an advantage.
