For the Microscopy and Magnetism Group we are looking for a
Aufgaben
Collaborating in an interdisciplinary environment, your team investigates the ultrafast dynamics of electronic, magnetic and structural properties in Perovskite-related materials. To understand interactions in solids and how they determine dynamical and static properties, you rely on ultrafast techniques, mainly X-ray probes. For X-ray scattering and spectroscopy experiments on ultrafast time scales, you have access to our free-electron laser SwissFEL and the soft X-ray FURKA beamline.
Anforderung
- You have an academic background in physics with a Ph.D.
- You're enthusiastic about supporting the PSI Microscopy and Magnetism team in their efforts to understand complex oxides' physics and ultrafast dynamics at the atomic level
- You feel comfortable discussing methods, sharing findings, and communicating effectively in English in a multinational community of research teams
- You have handled femtosecond lasers in past experiments
