You will carry out basic and applied scientific research in forest entomology, including teaching and implementation. Your main focus is on research concerning interactions between trees, insects and pathogens, considering both native and invasive species. The research will focus on ecological mechanisms, particularly on chemical ecology. Furthermore, you are involved in the biodiversity research of the research group. Your research contributes strongly to the improvement of strategies for the promotion of forest biodiversity and forest ecosystem functions. To this end, you will acquire third-party funding and publish the results in national and international journals. In addition, you are actively involved in implementation activities. For this tenure-track position, we are looking for a person with an interest in long-term employment.
