
The Zurich University of Teacher Education (PH Zurich) is one of the largest institutions for teacher training in Switzerland, with over 3,600 students enrolled in our comprehensive academic programme across the four areas of education, further training, research, and services.
The PH Zurich is hiring - starting on 1st April 2021 or by agreement - a
(fixed term assignment of 5 years)
The post will be in the Department of Research and Development and is created for the newly founded research centre «Education and Digital Transformation». The centre examines the impact of digitalisation on schools and education in the three areas of «Education and Digital Society», «Digital Learning and Teaching», and «Computing Skills and School». Your role
- Conducting a postdoc research project in one of the centre's three fields of investigation
- Participating in the wider research activities of the centre
- Pursuing excellent publications at a national and international level
- Engaging in close exchange with the members of the research centre and other associates of the PH Zurich
Our requirements
- A university degree with a doctorate in a discipline relevant to school and/or educational research
- A high level of expertise in the field of education and digital change
- Excellent research performance in school and/or educational research
- An extensive national and international network
- Excellent English-language skills and solid knowledge of German (or readiness to acquire these)
- A strong affinity towards working with software applications and a thorough understanding of data structures
