Textile engineer or Post-doc in Textile engineering for the development of textile-based wearable body monitoring systems (80 - 100 %)

Your tasks

You will work on applied research projects in collaboration with industrial partners as well as research projects related to intelligent textiles. These incorporate the design of textile-based sensors and the development of innovative wearable solutions for continuous monitoring of vital parameters. Textile sensing elements can be based on polymer optical fibers or electrical conductive fibers. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team of engineers and scientists working with you on these challenging topics. Besides experimental work, your task will be to lead the projects, coordinate the work between different work packages and to develop innovative solutions based on your textile engineering expertise.

Requirement

Your profile

You must hold a Master degree or PhD in textile engineering and preferably have experience with optical and electrically conductive fibers for sensing applications in body monitoring. Previous experience with textile manufacturing processes and functionalization treatments together with a high motivation to work at the leading edge of measurement and material science in international and multidisciplinary research teams are essential. Good English language skills (oral and written) and at a basic German knowledge is required.
